Ballet

An artistic dance form performed to music using precise and highly formalized set steps and gestures. Grace, precision and gestures set in intricate, flowing patterns to create expression through movement Key aspects of this class are correct stretching, improving form as well as enhancing leaps, turns, muscle strength and flexibility.


Jazz

Turns, leaps, movement quality and terminology. Students will apply these skills to upbeat dances to popular music.


Hip Hop

Express creativity through dance while picking up different skills such as the pin drop, different spins and isolation moves.


Pre Pointe

Interested in getting on pointe to begin to hone their ballet skills and start developing leg, ankle and foot strength required for that style of dance. Students will be taught the importance of correct alignment and correct classical ballet technique. (recommend taking with Ballet Class).


Pointe

This style of dance is for students who are already on pointe and have had previous ballet training. Pointe is supporting one's body weight on the extreme tips of the toes Half of the class will be on flat while the other will be on pointe. ( recommend taking with Ballet Class).


Tap

This is a dance performed wearing shoes fitted with metal taps, characterized by rhythmical tapping of the toes and heels. Rhythm is kept by the noise of the dancer's shoes on the floor
